Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Creepy Text is built to be private by default: there are no accounts or sign-ups, and every conversion happens locally in your browser. Whatever you type into the creepy text generator stays on your device — it is never sent to our servers, so we never see it. This page covers the few things that do involve data and the options you have.

Preferences stored in your browser

The site remembers a few small preferences in your browser's local storage so they are still set when you come back. These values stay on your device and are never transmitted:

  • Theme — your choice of light or dark mode.
  • Favorites — the styles you pinned with the heart button.
  • Preview size — your preferred font size for the preview.

Offline storage (PWA)

To keep the tool working offline and loading faster, the site installs a service worker that caches its own pages and assets on your device. This cache contains only the site's public files — no personal data — and you can delete it at any time by clearing the site data for creepytext.com in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic: page views, approximate region, device and browser type. These are aggregated usage statistics, not the content you type. See how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, or opt out completely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

Ads may be served by Google AdSense, which can use cookies to show, measure and (where allowed) personalize ads. Manage personalization at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of some third-party personalized ads at aboutads.info. Once loaded, the cookies set by external advertising providers are outside our control.

If you contact us

When you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send — your address and your message — and we use it only to reply to you. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always on this page. Have questions? Contact us.
